Weather: Perfect conditions 40s/low humidity
Comments:
Felt extremely good through 16.5 then struggled to get last miles in. Was hoping to push to 19+ but really had nothing left. Still a mystery how 20 miles gets one across the finish line of a marathon. Slight hot spot on inside heel of left heel. Drank 50+oz water and 8oz Gatorade. Gel at 50, 1:30 and 2:15. From miles 8 to 16 I was in a zone--running 8:20 miles on average. May have had a bit more at the end if I had paced this down, but just felt so comfortable at that pace. Will step back and go for 21 or so in 2 weeks.
