Ran the Michigan today. I might have been a little too worked up, because I felt like ass the entire workout. Regardless, I still ran decent:

I think I ran well at the beginning and didn't have the strength to finish too great. All things considered, I'm happy with my progression. A week ago I know I couldn't have even ran the first mile of this workout. That says a lot about the shape I'm going to be in come time for the Turkey Trot and eventually track.
MRI results aren't in yet, although I don't think I have anything serious.
Barnes suckered me into running Walsh this Saturday. Its not like I really had a choice. He acted like I have something to prove, too. I don't. Haven't I proven enough to everyone? I've had to run every race with something to prove.
Grese helped me put things into perspective, and I appreciated it. He basically told me that none of this, (conference, regionals, nationals) actually matters. The truth is, it doesn't. Its one big novelty. Its nothing more than another means of gauging my personal running accomplishments. I know I am a TON better now than I was when I came into this program, and the only person responsible for that is ME. I've come back from countless setbacks and honestly, I don't think any one else could do what I've done. They'd be some fat piece of shit if they went through what I did. That's the only redeeming quality of these past 4 years.
