We are in Portsmouth, Ohio, to see Pate run on his last race this season and it's his birthday, big 19. We left the hotel really not knowing where to go. Lee scares me on these kind of runs because you never know where he'll take me. It was nice when the sun came up, halfway through our run. We got back to the hotel just in time to wish Pate good luck and Happy Birthday. He ran a pr 29:03. It was a good day. Oh, and I have new shoes...
