Modified run with a little add on

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Went down to the High School to see if anyone was running after school. Matt, Liam, Dan and another kid Dan were there. They are just starting their mileage back up, so then were going short. Went Remington, Cayuga Heights, down University, and back Linn. I added on a Boynton mile and 2 laps on the track. I also did 4 striders on the track. No snow on the roads at all. Still cold.

I raced home to get my stretching in before I tightened up. Did hips, back, and the hammies with our new exercise ball. Then stretched and rolled. I will still stick with the one hammie stretch, and then add more when I talk to coach sometime. No abs because I was late for dinner.

New Shoes. CWs agreed with me that it wouldnt be that big of a deal to switch out of the Cumulus. The Ghost is the Brooks version of the Cumulus, and Brooks runs a bit wider, so it was a good fit (pun intended). My quads were a little sore after the run, but its probably from the adjustment to the hills and the new shoes.

Very odd feeling while doing the striders on the track. I realized that I will never hear Fravil's voice yelling out splits from across the field, or watch us do our warm ups, or lead a team meeting... He was such a big part of my experience on that track...

Long run tomorrow, fit in abs. It will be difficult to get access to hurdles here. I am thinking of just doing them on vacation, find a make shift ledge or something.
