Havnt had Saturday workout in a long time. A lot of people were late, which is funny because we were instructed to leave at 10:00 SHARP! Did my warmup with most of the distance crew basically down Euclid to the Euclid gate of the cemetery. Felt a little sore in the morning, but not to bad.
Did the workout starting near the split by the pond, then running up the road past Rockefeller and Garfield monuments. The 400 course went down the road on the flat at the top of the hill to near the Brush gravestone. This workout reminded me of Up and Overs. The top section wasnt as long at Cayuga Heights Rd, and the up wasnt as long as Remington, but they still had the same principle.
Did 8 x 400 as opposed to 10(didnt want to go over milage on this workout). Felt good on the first four, really foucsing on powering up and over the hill. Right behind Carter on most of them. Took a bathroom break, then did the last four alone. Still pushed it on the hill, probably went slower on the approach though. Really killed the last one, HR was at 180.
Cooldown back same way alone this time. My knee was a little tight after, but didnt hurt on the hills at all. Back was surprisingly resilient today also. Got back, did a good stretch, followed by abs, hammies, and L7. Sore after practice, but its all in the name of a strong week of workouts.
