Taper Tempo

Warmup, medium drills, 5x 1000 tempo w/ 2 minutes rest, 4x200 @ mile pace w/ 200 jog recovery. Got a little less than 2 minutes rest average between 1000's bc my pace was slower than the group but it didn't matter. Coach told me to run 3:35-3:40, but I was running a little faster because it just came easily. The 2's were fun, though I went out just a little faster than mile pace for the first one. Cooldown on one of the new treadmills in the cardio room. I don't plan on using one of the old ones any time soon.

Felt really good during this whole workout. Last week or the week before it was a bit of a struggle to hit this pace, but the first few were effortless and none of the thousands were difficult at all. I had to keep reining myself in. Same thing with the 200's. Given that I'm sick and all of this still felt easy, hopefully my race on Friday goes well.
