Ran mile workout today... 2x 2000m @ 5k pace w/2:00 rest + 6x 150m @ 400 pace.

Like several workouts recently, my pace was slower than everyone else in the group, which is annoying, but that's a longer-term issue. The 2k's felt nice and relaxed the whole way. The 150's were fast (as expected) but also felt good. Nice to know that I do have the speed, just not after two races. Since my 400m PR was technically Friday night, I ran these just short of all out. All of them were under 60 pace which was good. My resting heart rate was down to 44 this morning which might mean I'm a little fresher off of last weeks lower mileage. I want to run a really good race on Friday so this is a good sign. Also, my knee, while still bothering me a little while not running, didn't bother me at all during the intervals and only a little on the cooldown. Low mileage + cross-train tomorrow. Again, pretty happy with this workout overall- a success in my book.

Splits: (7:12, 7:13, 20.7, 21.3, 22.01, 21.7, 21.2, 21.4)

Abs: 20x(Side crunch, high crunch, scissors, bicycles, inverse crunch, gymnastic crunch) + a 50 second plank with Mark to finish it off.

Lift: not today. Either Tuesday or Wednesday and Saturday after the meet on Friday.

Sleep: 6 hrs.
