Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Foot is still a little sore. Though about splitting up the workout earlier in the day. It was 8 x 2 min w/ 1 min rest, then 4 x 400 accelerated intervals. Though it would be good to bike the 2 min s and run the 4's.
It was kinda getting bad outside, but Peter and I did a warm up to ugly statue anyway. Foot felt fine on that. Got back, did Kamalsky warm up, then jumped on a spinner. There were 5 of us spinning today, thats a bad sign... The intervals were tough. I was tired by the end and sweating a lot.
Jumped off the bike at the end and joined up with the distance crew to do the 4's. We started on the far side of the track. Dont really know why... Splits were
70, 75, 73, 71
I was kinda just running what felt right, didnt want to push it too much, and I definitely didnt. Felt unstable and slow because of my calves. Toe felt absolutely fine, but my ankle/ top of foot was sore. Just making me nervous.
Did my cooldown alone outside, but met up with Megan and Emilie near the end. It was very cold when I went back out. So much for the nice weather last week...
Dixon and I went down to lift shortly after I got back. It was kinda hectic down there I wasnt focusing that hard on it unfortunately. We also had to do hip flexion, which is completely off limits to UAA competitors. Went back up to stretch, ice and abs on the track. The stretch felt good and I got in some nice icing.
At the end, the ankle was feeling better but my far left side was tight and sore. Its shifting all over the place. Its got to be tendons and stuff.
I still want to talk to coach about my race and how I should be progressing.
