Track Practice: Getting it in in the AM

We had early practice today due to spring break travels. 6:30 start time dang. Couldn’t do it outside because it was too dark, so I opted for the bike with David. Walked over with everyone, kinda groggy. Woke up a little bit more on the warm up. Ran to Ugly statue and back. Felt ok but I was a little sore in the hip. Knee wasn’t tight though.

Got in for the tail end of the Kamalsky drills, then went right on the bike. Did simulated intervals.

Did that whole thing times two. It was tough. I always feel like I am working hard on the bike, even though it probably isn’t as good as running. Its worth it though in the long term. After, I cooled down on the indoor track basically alone. That felt surprisingly good. Nice stretch (static 3), roll and L7 before packing up and heading to breakfast. Did buddies 10 with J Frey while everyone was getting ready. A little tight and sore at the end of the day but not too bad. Its time for spring break.
