congrats if you can. it rained a considerable amount today, and continued to do so while we ran. honestly, i dont think it affected my work out that much. we had 3 times mile at "tempo", i dont really know why this was called tempo, my tempo is like 5:45, but i dont think i was supposed to go that slow. anyway, went 5:25, 5:31, 5:33. ran the first one with david and chris wade, then the second with david, and the last by myself. then 4 by 400 with carter grogan and chris kelly, where i probably went too fast, should have settled into the race pace, but wasnt really thinking. 71, 73, 71, 70.
most impressed with the last mile because i was by myself, and kind of didnt want to do it. everyone else except grogan carter and chris kelly stopped, so it was real tempting, but i feel like i should be doing the longer sections of these workouts, so i'm going to. even if i'm not running a 10k this year, i'll be open to doing it in the future, since all the current 10k people are seniors. i like the 5k, but if it would turn out i'm better at the 10k, or like it, why not do it? anyway, going to keep running these workouts hard regardless of my racing status, hoping it only takes me to where i want to be. not going to waste the healthy legs, or the motivation i can't seem to get rid of even with an awful 5k.
