Weather: Cool and a little windy
Comments:
Ran a 2k steeple time trial today at the outdoor track. Just trying to get a feel for the fatigue that will happen in a real steeple race. Becasue doing one or two hurdles in succession doesn't matter. Its 35 in a row thats the real test.
Going in CaochL told me to shoot to run 75's and then drop it down if possible in the last 2 laps.
I messed that up pretty good. I went out in 71! Definitly paid for it later. I was able to hold together as the race progressed but definitly didn't have what I usually have the last lap. My hurdling was okay. I had some good ones and some bad ones but it didn't dtereiate as the race went on and I was able to have good water pits.
Oveall I'm very happy with doing this. I know where I'm at and who I can shoot to run with at confrence. I also learned to not go out too fast which I've been repeditidly told not to but did anyway. Now I know for sure not to. Overall a good thing.
