Bluff trail

May 6, 2011 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Drove over to a trail in the Tate's Hell Forest for a change of scenery. Didnt know what to expect. It was the only trail in the whole forest, so it seemed sketch. It was a nice trail, sand all the way. Not a lot of shade, and the sun was beating down. I felt like I was seeing things by the end (downed a full bottle of Gatorade too). Legs felt great though, thought I was moving at a nice pace. Outside of leg leg between calf and shin is a little sore, probably because I rolled my ankle a bunch yesterday. I wish I could have run longer, but its tough running in the heat alone out in the middle of nowhere. Afterward, drove back to the hotel where I got to stretch.

Stretch, roll, L7 and abs while watching random TV. Got a good night sleep, so I wasnt as sluggish after this run, but the heat is playing a factor I think. Get in a good Fartlek tomorrow, then maybe run Sunday or bike at night when I get home, little workout Monday afternoon, then start wrapping up for the grande finale of the season.

This trail seems like a perfect place to do the fartlek tomorrow. Ill try to get out there, but because of the wedding, it seems more practical to run on the roads, no big deal.
