jog to au, felt really good. wore compression shorts at veronica's suggestion to help with my hip flexors, and they made a huge difference! yay! ...at au, jogged 4 laps and did a million drills ("get really warm"). then 400 at 88 (a little slower than I meant for it to be...but I guess almost perfect since it was supposed to be half of my 800 pr and the fastest 800 i've run this year is 2:55 - embarrassing). then 500 recovery, then a 300 at 63 (got boxed out at the beginning). then 500 recovery and another 300, alone, at 60. felt great, hardly winded, wanted to do more. i hope I can keep it up for Saturday!
...found out that I'm in the faster heat (and Alessa and Caroline are not), which is more awkward than it is detrimental. I actually think it will help me to push hard and run fast, but I feel bad that Alessa doesn't get to be pulled along by the faster girls. Now the pressure falls on my shoulders to pr and score...aaah! oh well, i'll just do the best I can, like I always do...
