Waldo Lake Circumnavigation

September 17, 2011 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Got a late-ish start so I didn't get out to Shadow Bay until 10:15. TIRED. But it was going to be an easy day, so off I went.

Kept it real easy, in the 100-miler "all day" gear. One early deuce stop, then a water fill at North Waldo, but otherwise kept moving the entire time.

This is my first time on this loop as an ultra runner. It's 10x easier than ever before: after 4-5 weeks of Hardesty runs (60min+ continuous uphill), the "technical hills" were a joke: maybe a minute at the longest for climbs in the SW quadrant. But it was still long and I was tired. Overall, though, it was a beautiful run.

Ran into a ton of MTN bikers, but otherwise uneventful. Ran 2:49 for the loop, which is about 10min slower than my road-guy grind pace.
