Tugman + SEHS Track

June 7, 2012 (Night)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Ran solo from work to Tugman to SEHS. Met the fellas for some track work. Initially it was cold, but the sun came out fully and felt OK.

LB's workout was 5x400, 5x200. I nestled in with a group that included T-bag and a couple other guys. Felt tired, but GOOD to tuck in behind the group in the 1st 400. I was afraid it was gonna be a 77, but it was 71! LB led the 2nd, I led the 3rd, other guy led the 4th (faster) and I led the 5th.

Felt GREAT! Worked on push off, trunk symmetry and getting the foot pulled beneath. VERY efficient and normal breathing for 200-300m! Splits:

71.9
72.8
72.1
69.6
70.9

Then 200s: felt tired and calves a little cranky, but managed 3 fairly fast:

32.6, 32.4, 31.0

Ran 400m between each.

Lewis came late, so he needed extra volume, so when we were done with the 200s, we chided him into doing a continuous mile, where we each paced him a lap. I paced 1 and 4; Tbag 3, LB 2. My splits:

72.2, 73.1

Felt good, and it was fun! Lc managed a sub 5 full mile, which was awesome. Easy cooldown back to the car.
