Comments:
Had a pool visit at noon; drove to SEHS track after. Did 2min of barefoot but the turf was too hot, so I ran a few easy laps, did drills and some strides, stretched out.
Saw a quartet of old, stiff guys doing a track workout...and they wound up splitting a damn 48-second 300m! That motivated me, so I did 3x"Placer 0.2s" (300m): 51.8, 50.4, 48.9
Glad to I was able to break 49. Felt pretty strong. A couple laps cooldown, then back to work!
