Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 50s, cool, misty

Comments:
Pretty good "workout" today. Was really tired after work today; I slept like shit last night, waking about every twenty minutes after 4AM, til I was up at 0545.

Anyhoo, slogged over to Hayward to do drills and felt better after those. I'm getting better at my A's and B's, getting faster and with more power, and sync'ing my arms with legs, which is the key.

The hill repeats turned out great: I started at the base of the main climb up Birch St. to Pre's Rock. These are purely form-based (quality over quantity or speed), so I really focused on that for all 3 reps. All of them took about 75s of steep climb up and around the hill, cresting at Pre's Rock, with about 30s of flat/gentle downhill over the top. Perfect repeat distance. They were tiring, but felt really good, form-wise, energy-wise, and breathing. Also worked the downhill running, as that'll be a significant issue for B2B in a few weeks...

The amazing thing about my new routine is this FACT: How can you NOT be motivated to do hill repeats past PRE'S ROCK, or to do AT runs on the adidas trail?

Calves were a bit rocked, so I stretched them before wrapping up the run on Pre Trails. Solid 8.

No circuits. Tired.

FYI, it's June 10th, and today I worked out in a long sleeve, my Nike skull cap, and gloves. Loved it!
