Slept like garbage last night again. Woke up way too many times. Part of it is eating both too many japalenos AND eating that damn Kashi cereal at night. The combo of the two does a number on the GI. I'm done with all cereals for the summer.

Woke up at 0530 and dicked around 'til about 0610, then ran. Felt tired and unmotivated but the legs came around. Heels pretty decent; some L tightness early and then some R tightness later, but they loosened up with a bit of stretching.

Ran into Pete again this AM as I was doing the west loop of Pre Trails. Ran with him a for a couple miles. Then the "japs" hit and I had to run into the prairie to grind one and Pete kept going, which was fine because he was rolling faster than me.

Overall I felt pretty damn good this morning. I love that, despite being "tired", I actually feel good at the end of almost every run. That's a good sign...

Did a half circuit before breakfast. Will probably bike this afternoon, as it's supposed to be nice.

FYI: yesterday set an all-time record for coldest high temp in most parts of western Oregon.
