Simpson Track Workout

Weather: 55, overcast with very slight breeze

Comments:
Drove to EC to get new shoes, then hit up Simpson/UWEC for my first "workout".

The idea was to do "some 400s". My bread-and-butter is sets of 5x400 with 100 jog.

Felt OK on the warm-up -- a bit trashy -- and the strides (the first in a lonnng time) felt OK, too. So did the 400s...but the effort was ROUGH. Made it through FOUR:

I wasn't mega-tired; just OUT OF SHAPE. I could've done more but today was a good starting point.

Afterwards I grabbed a drink in McPhee then did Long Carson for a cool down. It started slow but within no time I was rolling pretty good, minding my knee/using my quads -- which is not easy to do automatically when you're tired.

Hit up Oakwood, then Gordy's before driving straight to NR to watch Billy's track meet. BEAUTIFUL AFTERNOON.
