Exercise Type: Run
Weather: dark, foggy
Comments:
Probably shouldn't have done a workout 36hr before a race, but I felt the real focus is TNF and an easy hill workout would be good for my stride.
The plan was to meet at Hendricks, but I didn't know where. Drove around for 10min, then parked and jogged randomly around 10min before finding some folks - Hannah, Laurie, et al. No LB, though. 10min later he and Meghan showed up, having run from his house.
The workout was 300m hills (2-3% "douche grade?) paved. Jog down. x10. Large volume but low intensity. LB and Meghan had headlamps, which were necessary.
We ran pretty easy 1:30s. Should be easy, I guess - it was 8:00 pace but a reasonable grade, I suppose. I worked on:
- Opening the pelvis/lumbar arch-
- Push beneath with R LE
- Quick turnover to match Meghan's
Felt really easy but tiring. Didn't CD after. Lewis was late and joined us for the last 3. I entertained all with tales from CO and the trip. :)
