Minneapolis loops

May 25, 2009 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 70s, a bit humid, breezy

Comments:
Woke up this AM with "JET LEG" and I didn't feel like trashing them out on the highways again, so I didn't do the AM run. Had yummy "skippy" pancakes my uncle made, then we all went to the Eveleth cemetary for the Memorial Day ceremony. After that, we returned, then mom picked me up and we were off. Mostly slept on the way home. TIRED.

I left my car in Maplewood with the idea of seeing Megan about her knee, but it was still painful and it didn't make sense to advance things. However, instead of seeing her, I wound up running with Behrs. I drove to Bierman and did a loop myself before meeting him to run.

From Bierman I ran the old river loop, going north/west to Stone Arch, then down the MPLS side to Lake St. Had to stop to DEUCE at the SA on Lake. Then crossed the bridge and went up the STP side.

My shoes are DEFINITELY DEAD. F. My quads, calves, feet and knees felt like SHIT. Otherwise, the run was pretty good and uptempo. Was gonna do some strides on the track but Keith was already there.

We went over a couple exercises, did a couple laps on the track, then did a slow Stone Arch-to-Foot Bridge loop. Felt better, only because I wasn't pounding as much.

After the run we stretched a bit before parting ways. I drove straight to Hudson to get a lift in. Then at home I did circuits. Surprised I got it all in. Rewarded myself by eating about 200 Best Maid mini-cookies leftover from my grad bash! KEY! :)
