River path tempo

Was really dreading this run; felt tired after work, and wasn't looking forward to a hard effort in the dark. But I did it anyway.

Ran from home into Alton and started at the 2M mark, x6 strides beforehand. Warmed into it again, no split-monitoring, though I took them.

Focuses on the quick turnover, "opening" the R pelvis, and a better L flexion pattern. That...and forward engaged.

Very sustainable effort and breathing, though it did get somewhat hard at the end. I was VERY surprised and pleased with the splits, as I felt I'd been doing 6:00s:

5:58, 5:46, 5:36.

Awesome! No LBP or L hip soreness after.

Post-run: cleaned up and hit Macy's for some post-xmas shopping. INSANE deals. Wow. Got six shirts (4 sweaters, 2 LS') for $120 and a $270 sport coat (my first!) for another $120. Splurged, but time to look like an adult. :)

Post-shopping beer and Lonesome Randall at Max's.
