Exercise Type: Run

Weather: high 40s, no rain...still light out

Comments:
Ran right after work, from work straight to Sheldon HS. Hadn't worked out there in maybe a year? Year.5?

Really debated whether or not to do a workout, since I was really tired and sore, but doing a long run on Friday AND a long tempo on Sunday meant I'd be best off with doing speed today.

Jogged over to the track, and did some strides. TIRED. Might be a touch of allergies (haven't taken meds in a week). Since I was tired, I decided to time but NOT look at the splits: I didn't want to get discouraged and bail.

The workout is "recover-on-the-run" kilos: 400m at "5K pace", then a shift to mile pace for a 200m, then back to 5K pace for another 400m - continuous. It's a great workout that I haven't done in a while.

Did x6 strides, deuced, then went for it. Timed, but not looking. They felt "pretty easy" on the first 400m, the 200s felt a bit sluggish/slow at first, and the recovery seemed pretty fast. Figured, because they were pretty slow!

1:20, 36, 1:18 = 3:14
1:20, 36, 1:18 = 3:14
1:20, 34, 1:18 = 3:12

Not exactly blazing K's (had an epic workout indoors in 3/2005 where I did x4 in <2:55, the last in 2:45!!!), but I felt strong and recovered quickly.
