Springfield easy

Weather: 60? overcast, threatening mist

Was planning on doing Hardesty today, but...with the big week/vert looming...and the fact that I just had my achilles really worked over, I decided to bag it. In addition, I did not run Hardesty last year, in advance of Training Camp.

THEN, I thought about doing a tempo...but I swear, so much of that drive was GUILT! It's weird: if I don't run hard every other day, I feel guilty! Like, withdrawal symptoms! But I realized I needed to be "down" this week, to get the most out of next week. Also, I'm now poised for a good hard track session on Thursday.

Ran easy from the apt - after spending an hour chasing down NEW TIRES for the EGGZ car, UGHZ! Ran through Alton and kept going, into Springfield and through Island Park to downtown, then turning back. Pancake flat.

Stride felt pretty good - but I still get too arched in my low back and trunk, even with the "firecracker crouch".

Forgot to apply tape to the L ankle; coincidentally, I had some L heel pain (not sure if it was joint or achilles). Otherwise the stride felt good. BUT, the energy was slow. Like, zero carbs today....

Since I didn't go to Hardesty, I had time to do laundry and pack a bit. Helped Matt out with his ankle. Gosh, I'm so fucking busy...pretty insane for a "single guy"...

Looking forward to some "nothing" at Camp - need to be sure not to over-pack it with "fun" (stressful, time-consuming) stuff!!
