MRT w/BGD

Pretty tired from a long Saturday, but felt compelled to take BGD to tour the MRT. So finally, at around 1ish we got in the car.

It rained early and often on Sunday, but it'd stopped by the time we left...only to lightly drizzle when we left the Ranger Station to head backwards on the course. I brought my jacket and quickly put it on.

Wore the HRM and the HR was super low. I led, and focused on good form, namely the R hip push off and good arms. My HR was about 13x, max, outbound.

I lost BGD...which, I think, was OK for us both. I don't think it's anti-social, but I think there's an implicit understanding - post-WS - that we both need to be doing our own thing a bit more, so it was me doing what I needed and he, his.

The weather was also doing its own thing: light mist turned to drizzle to legit hard rain and thunder! Sheesh! By the time I got to the last MRTR as (6.7 mi from the finish), it was pouring and cold! I stopped to work my sore L foot and wait for BGD. Once he arrived, we decided to simply turn back.

Ran supz slow on the way back - slow enough that I had a hard time generating any heat! My HR was like 11x! Good convos made up for the light pace.

Post-run: drove back to EUG, cleaned up, then had a Maiden at Ninkasi, pizza at La Perla, then a donut at Voodoo. Solid weekend!
