November 4, 2013 (Night)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: light mist, nice
Comments:
Pretty good day at work: OK energy, not too tired - actually pretty phenomenal, given how much I ran and the poor sleep on Saturday night.
Hammy was a little sore with sitting at work, but I rolled it a bit. I'm doing a way better job w/WU and CD, and that's good for a lot of things.
HRM wasn't working today, WTF? So I went by feel, which was fine. SUPZ easy to begin with, then eased into it.
DL'd a bunch of URP podcasts and started off with BGD's, which is so excellent!
Terrific run. Man, what a difference a week or two makes: I feel like my stride is really, finally, coming around. The decrease in allergies (w/onset misty rain) and improving mechanics = good, sustainable training. I feel like I do a run, then a few hours later, I want to run again! Man, this feeling hasn't been around for a long time.
Per usual, did the Springfield loop, then added on the uphill to PRE's, heavy emphasis on hip hinge and forward trunk. Really interesting how *not* sore the quads are, compared to last week!
Wound up being fairly uptempo.
Finished, once again, with some light jogging and about a 10min walk at the end, while "refueling". I think this is important, too.
L lateral foot a little sore...L ankle might be stiffening up.
