Beach To Beacon first five miles

So, the beach to beacon in next weekend and I wanted to get a sense for whether or not I could run it well. I ran down to the start from my house, ran the first five miles hard and then ran home taking a slightly longer path through the woods. My body felt strong, but my legs were really tight. I'm definetly going to need to do some stretching in the next couple of weeks. It was more difficult to go fast than I thought it would be, and I'm not sure if I'm going to run the race. I almost git hit by three cars on this run. The first one came across the white line on a road with a six inch shoulder, the second almost hit me when I toop a few accidental steps into the road while presenting the first car with my middle finger, and the third one was on my cool down when some elderly man didn't see me or feel like stopping before the cross walk I was going across (There was a stop sign and he came out way to far).
