Bike path + "3x tempo bike": Chambers Hill, MacBeth, Bailey Hill

Exercise Type: Bike

Weather: REALLY nice: mid 50s but pure sun...but some headwind

Comments:
Easy morning with Callie Alice, then I did "strength + errands" at home (mix strength with stuff around the house, computer), then finally on the bike.

Heel was better...but I FINALLY realized that my damn ankle is CRAZY-jammed, and my achilles is po'd because the ankle isn't moving in EITHER direction. Eek. Worked the hell of out the joint, and I felt next to nothing on the bike.

Got out to ride at 1:30. Listened to the "State of Ultrarunning 2014" URP with TJ (really good). Went easy for 34min (126 avg HR), then a series of three medium to long tempos:

up Chambers Hill (7min, 163 AHR)
up MacBeth Hill (15:00, 165)
rollers along Lorane+Bailey (24:00, 159)

Took a break after MacBeth. Was using my phone as an mp3 and as I began a fast bomb downhill, my phone fell out of my pocket, HARD, and bounced all over the pavement. Smashed the glass, but...damn it, it still works! Annoying, but lucky, I guess!

Total ride was about 2:20 with a good 45 minutes of tempo, solid!

PM: met Alie, my old (and current office manager) at Eugene PT to ask about the state of the clinic. She (and all of them) REALLY want me back. It was a good meeting. :-)
