Track ROR Ks with Mike

Weird, busy day. Worked on stuff in the AM, then saw patients at EPT from 1-3:30, then picked up the rental car, then met Mike Taylor in North Eug for a track session!

The plan was 3xROR and 3x200. We had to move to Cal Young MS after we found out there was a meet at Sheldon, but it was a net win, as CY was nicer!

I warmed up about 1.5mi on my own, then we did some strides and got after it. As per with BGD, we traded off leading+surging. It was:

Mike(Me), Me(Mike), Mike(Me)

The splits were actually pretty solid. I wore my new-old timex and thought I'd saved them, but I guess I didn't. But they were roughly:

89-92, 37, 90-92

And they felt AWESOME! SO FUN to be back on the track! Yeah, these splits are brutal (they were like 73-34-73 with BGD in '13!), but it it still felt great. Major form focus for me: no swivs, BIG hip drive...whole foot. Good stuff!

After a 600m cool-down, we did 3x200. Mike pretty much SMOKED me on the first two, then he pussed the last one, but we did 33.x-34.x on all of them.

Cool-down of about a mile and a half on the track, then post-workout beers to talk shop. Fun stuff!!! Love this "normal runner" routine!

Ran in the road N1s with customs.
