August 18, 2015 (Night)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: HOT, nearly 100F
Comments:
Mercifully EASY hunt led by MrR. He's pacing Tommy at Waldo, so he kept it really easy on his behalf. Ran from The MS to Spring, to Ribbon Trail into Hendricks...hiking EVERY steep uphill! Then we bombed down to Fairmount, to 24th, to almost Hilyard, and back to MS. Easy-peasy!
Brian B showed up. He was one of my student observers (and former patients) who's now in PT school! He came back on break from Denver to run, chat and have a beer. Good to see him and talk shop, and a good reminder that I "make a difference" every once in a while.
REALLY focused on "straight push-off": the right leg pushing back, and the left pelvis driving forward. SO hard. I lose track of this all the time...
Felt pretty good, overall, despite the high heat.
