2-mile (grind+tempo) bark + 4x200 with CA

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: mid 50s, nice - cloudy

Comments:
Last workout, pre-MRTR. Easy jog with CA to SEHS. Did x4 strides pre-tempo. Decided to do a "pace" mile after the grind.

Stride felt pretty good, but...not fast. Wound up running:

grind mile: 6:22 (156 avg)
"tempo": 5:53 (175 avg)

NOT happy with that pace or HR for the tempo mile. Something feels a little off. The pawback felt good, but I struggled a bit with turnover...

4x200s: I told CA that I didn't want to force these, and that I'd be fine with "mid-30s", instead focusing on good form. CA ran awesome, and before long, I was matching her, feeling pretty solid. Splits:

Never felt like I was pushing really hard - just focusing on good mechanics: OPENING THE HIPS (which I sort of forgot about on the tempos!), strong feet and "symmetry" (hips and trunk).

Easy jog home.

Lunch: allergy injection.
PM: no other workout. Dinner, then Lonesome Randall

Wore the NB 1400s. Bleh
