July 7, 2008 (Afternoon)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 83F, sunny
Comments:
Felt a lot better this afternoon, having somehow woken up. Got home and woke up PICO -- who was "so sleepy" for having done nothing but sit in my apartment all day -- and went for a run.
Went to Hayward for some drills. Had to move a fence to get to the practice track; it's slowly deconstructing back to normal. :) Proceeded south along Agate, then along Fairmount to the Birch St hill.
Did three reps up the hill and felt great. Had a nice tailwind which blew me up the hill, resulting in some relatively fast times (1:41, 1:41, 1:36). I really love this "workout"!
Finished up the run on Pre with Pico, nice and easy. Much better pace today (maybe 7-highs), compared to Thursday -- even though Steve had eaten "six fudge-dipped granola bars" earlier in the afternoon.
Came back, did circuits, ate, and was in bed before 9! :)
Knee pain was much better today. I taped it up and in, so if anything the pain transferred to a tight patellar tendon. An easy pace also helped.
