LONG - Long Beach route!

Weather: breezy but warmer - nearly 70

Comments:
Went and saw my Grandpa at 0830 at the Armed Forces Retirement Home - a truly impressive place. We did go last night, too, when we got in. We chatted for a bit, then went for breakfast at the casino. The restaurant was "upscale" but the food was LESS good and same quality as Waffle House!

We did some banking errands for him, then ran to WalMart, then back to his place. After hanging a bit, mom and I headed back to the hotel. I submitted the gait analysis report, then went for run #2.

I wasn't thrilled with going out again - I hadn't slept well and could've used a nap - but I need to push mileage. So I went the same way: west, with the wind (sort of). I figured I'd add on the route, so I simply ran another 1.5 miles out along the ocean drive, then turned back for Long Beach. Ran a little easier than in the AM, but still ground out 7:40s.

It's funny that I consider this "rounding into shape", as KACR runs every fucking run AVERAGING like 7:30 on her crappy concrete "lake" route. But it is for me, as I feel like it's truly aerobic (who knows what that is for her).

PM: back to Grandpa's, then to dinner at a pretty nice steakhouse. He paid...but he's a notorous (and innocently ignorant) crappy tipper, so I had to sneak like an extra ten on the table after he paid! LolZ

Back to the hotel and winding down by 10, which was nice. RACES tomorrow!
