PRE + Spfd long

Weather: 40, cold

No hunt tonight. Dr Choi was planning on a super-long hunt, and I didn't need any vertical grinding after yesterday's Baldies, so I ran solo at lunch.

Ran the long springfield loop. The idea is to banks some easier miles this week, then drop it down this weekend...

...but we have a probelm.

FOOT: My left foot's been pretty fucking sore for like two weeks, and I've basically ignored it and have been training through it, managing with stretching and light massage. I was hoping I could ride it out 'til the taper healed it.

I was wrong.

It was pretty bad today. I ran all the way to SPFD -- my flat and easy route -- and it was sore nearly the entire time. To make matters worse, I forgot my orthotics at home, so I was running in the light and soft N1 roads.

I felt pretty decent on the run, otherwise, but the foot was sore afterward and **the rest of the day**.

PM: CA hutned, so I stayed late at work doing "errands", then did strength work at home before going to Lewis' for the social. I got there at 8 -- they started at 5:30! - and they STILL weren't back! They arrived at 8:15. Turns out they ran 12 miles and 1500' climb, including a Spencer Butte summit in blizzard conditions!

Hung out and had a beer, but I wasn't into it -- the beer, or the social. I'm annoyed and worried about my foot...
