Exercise Type: Run
Weather: high 50s - breezy
Comments:
Solo track session over lunch, with a longer lunch hour.
Felt a little tired and heavy. No CA today, since she's resting. Wore the Salomons.
Got there at 1:15 and they were setting up for a track meet, with a couple people milling around. Did a lap of strides, then a grind mile, then 4x800.
I want to start doing more volume with less intensity...but it wasn't in the cards today: not enough time.
Grind mile: 6:08?
800s were supposed to be easy and sustainable, but they got hard, fast! Major focus was on:
- "Big Dick" (BD) - knees out and wide
- "Fast Triad" (arched, forward, pawback)
- good shoulder blades
- pelvis L, trunk R (going clockwise)
First one was really easy, then I cranked it just a bit more to be honest:

Felt solid, but not spectacular. By the time I'd hit two, coaches were setting up and leaving shit (intentionally, I think) in Lane 1 (but fun part: these tracks are PUBLIC PARKS and they can't boot me, unless it's 3p-6p, so it was a dick move). Thus, I didn't do any 200s. Did x4 100s on the back stretch, then ran back to work
Good day, nice to be back, but I've got a long ways to go!
