AM Hardesty Wednesday!

July 20, 2016 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: high 50s to 60, but HUMID!

Comments:
Decided to do an early AM Hardesty, because I'm my own boss! No patients today (which isn't great, but oh well).

Hit the trail with CA around 7:30. The idea was to run "moderately hard" - try to max out at 160HR. It's hard to believe this is only my second Hardesty in 2016! I was hoping my "magical fitness" would've equated to a fast time, but...alas, it was damn hard.

Felt solid for the first couple segments, but the weight of Sunday and the weightlifting yesterday made the legs REALLY heavy. The HR was fairly depressed, early, but then jacked pretty good. Humidity was super-high and there might've been some other allergens.

Summitted in 66:56, with an AHR of 156. Was tough to keep it under 170, frankly. CA was in 69:xx, which is good.

Descent I pushed a bit and got out in front of CA. She got frustrated not being able to keep up, which then made her roll her ankle x2, which quadrupled her frustration. Bummer.

Descent in about 42.

All felt pretty good except this little bilster on the TOP of my left 4th toe (uniquely from the old blue PI N1 trails, which I wore on Sunday, and again today). Felt OK when I focused on avoiding lateral striking.

Rest of the day:
- major house unpacking and clean-up in prep for mom and sis to visit! House and garage looks halfway presentable!
- computer work

Solid day! Light flow of patients is OK, but I'm ramping up my marketing efforts...
