to UO, barefoot, then Fairmount-24th tempo with CA

October 24, 2016 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 50s, OK

Comments:
Felt so-so today. Ran from the office to UO for some barefoot miles, which felt better. From there, we decided to run a grind-tempo run -- my first since pre-Superior. The course was mildly hilly and not fast, which was fine. Ran through campus, gradually picking things up. By the top of Fairmount, I was grinding at threshold, for sure.

Right now I'm REALLY honing in on "Flick & Pull":

- that idea of flicking the leg forward, so that: A.) when it touches the ground it's "pre-stretched, AND
B.) it's longer-straighter (to stay tall-forward)
- and staying way forward-leaned, which I think goes with the flick-pull idea.

I feel like I run WAY faster and get better foot-action, too. So that's been a focus, of late.

Ran with the flick-pull, which felt faster but (like "new" things) harder.
