July 5, 2017 (Afternoon)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: HOT, should've jumped in the "creek"
Comments:
Busy AM. After 4 clients, I hustled off to Hardesty for an up-down.
Still quite tired and sore, and wasn't sure about this, but even as I was about to puss out halfway up, I just told myself to 'execute' and get it done...and it actually felt pretty decent!
Kept it EASY, but form-focused:
- forward
- arched
- knees behind toes
- PELVIS wiggle (up & down)
- pelvis left
Felt strong and with good glute engagement.
On the descent...it occurred to me that I need to grow a pair and simply get longer in my strides: gobble up more real estate. That helped!
Up: 66:xx (excellent for how "easy" I was going)
Down: 40:xx (fastest in a long time)
Post-run: hustled back to work...but should've jumped in the creek. In normal years...the water level is so low it's like a 50' vertical walk down to the muddy creek. Now? It's like...roadside! Should've doused!
Rest of the day:
- new patient
- Injury Consults at RunHub
- BEERS with Nate at Max's (Randy night). GOOD to chat with him. FYI: he's going to personally talk to Jim Hill (of Sporthill) about that WSER sponsor spot for '18!
