Hardesty Up/Down

July 25, 2017 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 75, humid!

Comments:
Still pretty tired from the weekend, and a crappy night's sleep, which was a buzzkill. I knew I couldn't handle (and wouldn't require) a Tuesday flat tempo, so -- to give myself a fighting chance at a track race Thursday -- I slid Hardesty to today.

Ran into Alexis when I arrived, just as she was finishing up. She assured me she'd knocked out the cobwebs, but...she's like 5'3", so that left all the head-high ones!

Felt pretty damn good today. BIG focus on symmetry: the restoration of pelvis left, not slopping that side. It's now like well over 4 years since I first started trunk taping...makes me wonder if I should try it, every once and again.

But I did a good job of it today, as well as with:

Forward (my "JP Donovan Orangutan" form)
Arch

It's taken nearly two months, but I'm finally starting to feel that "effortless climb" sensation: that you can climb a reasonable speed and it really doesn't feel hard. That lasted 'til about the last half-mile.

Thought for sure I'd gone faster, but I split a 66:1x. Solid. I had reasonable hopes for the descent, but the legs were pretty cooked and it was 41-high.

Solid run.
