4x800m, 4x100m solo at SEHS

Comments:
Another solo track session. I had some thoughts on what to do, but figured it's been a long while since I've done 800s, so I did that.

It was hot and pretty damn humid and smokey, too. Took some inhalar puffs, which helped. Then after drills and strides, I got after it.

I decided to "get out hot" on the first one...but it didn't result in much: 2:30.0. Ugh. It felt like a 2:20-low effort. Jogged 400m, then did a little "micro-douse" from water bottle - a nice little treat, then went again.

Nice to see I only slowed to 2:33. Major form focus on:

Forward (hip loading, especially left)
Foot push
Arch

It got harder, and hotter, but in the final 800, I tried to blast the final lap. Did pretty well.

Splits:

2:32
2:26 (1:15, 1:11)

Rather than do 4x200, I pussed out and did 4x100m. Long cool down.

Solid workout, but I felt like I worked too hard.

Rest of the day:
- immediately (albeit reluctantly) lifted weights
- lunch
- PM clients
- pre-Waldo meeting with Alexis, who's head is in a good spot! :-)
