MrR's "fire safety / CrossFit" hunt

Comments:
The smoke began to clear a teeny bit, but we kept it indoors, anyway.

Mr Roberts (hunt member from December '12 through the fall of '15) made his triumphant return visit this weekend, and he led this hunt. REALLY good to see him. He's doing really great, including being quite "ripped" from transitioning from ultrarunner (e.g. too much grinding) to crossfitter.

We did two fun things:

1. "No breath contest". From the manspace basement door, the contest was to take a beer coaster, make your way down the backyard hill to the street, down the street as far as you can (dropping a coaster), then making your way back...holding your breath! We went in pairs. I SUCKED at this, because I realized that breath-holding = a form of claustrophobia. Dan-O KILLED at this (he's such a gamer, competitive and talented). It took me 3 times not to DQ and simply hit a "mediocre" mark!

2. Body weight cross-fit workout. MrR led this #WOD:

50 air squats
40 full sit-ups
30 lunges (15, side)
20 push-ups
10 burpees

We did 2 sets...and essentially me, MrR and Dan-o tied. Good workout, actually!

After that...social! Quick hunt. Don't feel too bad about not running, and I felt like I won't be destroyed by that workout.
