Slept well in the van up above Telluride, and I made the liquids while CA did her AM routine. Packed up, then headed down the hill.
On the outskirts of town is this sweet trail network along the San Miguel creek. We stopped on the west end, parked, then ran easy from there.
I felt...like ass, but it was nice trail. CA led (with me dragging as at like 10:00 pace!) out 2.5 miles, then back.
After that...we just drove to Silverton! Long drive around the mountains.
Got to town about 30min before the meeting, in time to canvas the parked cars with Uhan Performance cards...which promptly got POURED ON during the meeting! CRAP!
Meeting was cool--nothing special. However, we saw and chatted with lots of folks. Most fortuitously, we sat next to Steven Moore, a badass ultra guy (super master at age 50) from Austin, TX, that I know from RWB camp. He off-handedly asked if I wanted to pace him a section from Ouray to Telluride and I agreed!
