Exercise Type: Run
Weather: OK, cool & dry, but SMOKEY
Comments:
Busy but good day: got a fair share of coaching done in the AM, around a client, then ran.
Of note: I strained my upper thorax-lower neck this AM. I was on my stomach, propped up, typing (which I do a lot of, to avoid sitting), and I think I jammed my first rib! Hurt quite a bit, especially with quick motions. Ugh.
On top of that...my low back is still "off" from Sunday. I didn't quite realize it 'til the tempo...and that affected it for sure.
Ran a mile+, did drills-strides, then did a mile, 1:00 rest, and another mile. A couple factors:
- didn't look at my watch at all
- it was SMOKEY again
- despite that, I kept my breathing "normal rhythm"
- felt "hamstring and glute" on the right (= lumbar out of whack)
As such...the splits were disappointing: 5:45 and 5:50 or so. Bleh. I was hoping for 5:30s. But...I have good excuses.
