BoR - lots of classes, only a bit of running

November 11, 2017 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Other

Comments:
Busy day. Taught 4(?) classes, including functional strength. Again, very focused material but lots of detail and demo-do.

No run for me, as I was teaching all day. All the same: I'm still tired, sick, and stiff. Right ankle was bothering A LOT, so I taped it.

PM: awesome keynotes from both Dave Mackey and AJW, who drove up for the evening.

Dave is SO solid. He went for the run with us on Friday, and per him, it was his "first run in 3 months". He'd been having issues with stump consistency (it can take a year to get consistent in size, and not blister-friction in the prosthesis).

It was fun to reminisce about "the old days" (5 years ago) -- still feels "old", as those core guys like Mackey and Clarkie, are now "gone" from the racing scene, with no good analog replacements.

AJW did a really good job, too. He played a WSER video I hadn't seen, and it was REALLY GOOD.

Lastly, we went around the group and talked about what running means to us. Cool sharing amongst the mentors!

PM: some chats with several folks, then bed. Run in the AM!
