Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 30s, clear, nice
Comments:
It was our xth annual (but my first) Christmas Light hunt. We run in North Eugene - the most "suburban, materialistic" part of Eugene - meeting at a strip mall (of course!). But thankfully "The Steel Pail" is a pretty great little tap room, at which to launch and finish.
Leo Alipont (another working professional, almost-master runner and friend of Lewis') was the leader, as he lives in the area. Hunters included:
OGs: me, Lewis
CA, Emily, Evan
New: Daniel
The run went by FAST...because I was venting the whole time. Evan brought up the WSER post, and I talked to him for 1.5 miles, then Emily joined and we went back and forth (about both WSER and HR100) for the whole damn run! Whew!
Felt pretty good: REALLY worked on actively using my ankles today (this AM, tonight). Did wonders to decrease stiffness.
Run was 5.5 miles and simply blew by. "Lights" and overall route was fine.
Social: CA was waiting for us, and CB showed up, later. Leo bought the first round, and Lewis, the second! Pretty great. Drank a great beer from Breakside, then a Melvin IPA.
