easy run in Louisville

December 15, 2017 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: COLD (max-damp chill: 40F)

Comments:
Long but good day: early to the airport, then two easy flights to Louisville by 2:30. We got our rental, then went to see Callie's grandma's grave. After that, we went on a brief run.

GOOD run, surprisingly. We parked near the cemetary and found a small, municipal golf course on which to run. Compared to last time, in July? I felt AMAZING (that's when I had my giardia flare-up).

Ran easy to the golf course, then some rolling hills around the closed course. Finished with 4-5 strides.

The best news is that CA's foot was feeling better. Did a TON of nerve work yesterday, including coxxyx. That seemed to help. It appears her injury is like 50-50 tendon and nerve pain. Frustraing...but getting better.

PM: drove to her cousin Will's place (maybe a mile away), showered, had some dinner and beers, then finally drove about 45min SW to meet Timbo and Paul for the trail race! They were camped out at Otter Creek Rec Area in a pretty nice pop-out camper. Turns out the RD of this race was a women from "Race for the Soul" (2001): the one who was all spaced-out and nauseaous when she got to Devil's Thumb. The funny thing was, I *thought* I'd seen here there in '16 while volunteering...and I was right! She had run again, then.

Turned in after one more beer at 11:30ish ET. Long day.
