December 21, 2017 (Afternoon)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 10, light breeze...OK
Comments:
Slept in a fair bit, then pounded a big stack of "Skippies" -- the family pancake recipe. They're super-good...but they have a ton of butter in them (a fact that I forgot 'til it was afternoon).
AM:
- hung out
- went to Virginia with Brandie and Josie (errands)
- back to the house
- to the bank to get my cousin Matt, then to Kunnari's for lunch (our new tradition)
- back to the house to run
Ran from the house, along Ely Lake Drive, to Enterprise Rd -- a mining road with minimal traffic. Normally it's great running, but yesterday it snowed about 2", so it was soft and crappy footing. Ran on that for a mile, then turned back.
Felt stiff, but not too bad. Listened to some Tim Ferriss Podcasts.
Had some MAJOR gut rot pre and post-run, then was pretty sluggish the rest of the day. Top Dairy side-effects
1. Gut rot + lower GI
2. FATIGUE
Was pretty tired and tried to nap late afternoon, then socialized with my cousins -- John and Matt came over with their kids and spouses. Hung out, had some beers and dinner. Fun night!
