Lewis' Barkley-esque Baldy-LCC hunt

January 2, 2018 (Night)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 40s, cold but dry

Comments:
BIG group tonight:

- Lewis, me, Tommy, Emily, Hammer, Clifton!!!
- CB, Evan
- John, Daniel, Justin (new-new guy - no GF)

Ran some steep rollers on the roads, southbound. This right away was rough on my ankle, and it stayed PO'd all night, only getting worse. Again, it's part nerve, part orthopedic. But the weight session and back stiffness was a huge part of it. The other part was the route.

Grinded up Dillard to Old Dillard, then bushwacked straight up to Baldy. It took forever, as I hung back with Emily. Once on the top, we went down the east side, to the recent clear-cuts on the land near LCC. This, too, was rough on the ankle.

From there, we got on the gravel roads, out the LCC, then up the frontage to 30th. But instead of taking 30th directly back (which is like a highway), we turned back in toward 44th or so, then back.

By the time we'd hit that last uphill, my ankle was PISSED. I stopped a did belly rubs (back stretch), which helped. I then walked a bit with Cliff (who's out of shape) and Tommy, before we jogged it in back to Lewis'.

ROUGH, annoying run -- route was "fine", but my ankle is super-frustrating! Joint and nerve...

CA came by for social and brought dinner, which was nice.

Wore the Brooks again. High-heel didn't seem to help much...
