EWEB: PRE with the gang, then 1-2-3-4-5 fartlek, solo

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: rainy, WINDY (but not too cold)

Comments:
Slept in, got up around 7:45, Bert and Courtney, around 8 and Callie, around 8:30. The damn turkeys were going NUTS this AM -- like some sort of rival turf war between packs, or something!

Plan A was to go to yoga (then run), but since we cut it too close, we bailed on yoga, and parked at EWEB for a PRE trail run.

Bert's foot is bothering him, so we did a short loop together, before he and I turned back to the car. From there, I went solo, on the paved bike path, intending to do a fartlek.

The ankle was...so-so...then got worse. Bummer. It seemed to get more sore and tight during the fartlek, so I cut it at halfway (no descent).

Felt...sluggish and heavy, too. Essentially I ran like low-to-mid-6s for the "on" fartleks, and that's it. Tried hard to run whole-footed, but it's still difficult, on the right. THen, of course, HINGED.

Cut it at 5:00, then jog -> grinded back to the house. I was exhausted! Felt like a 20-miler.

Excuse-o-meter: hill sprints, weights and a bike ride yesterday...

Rest of the day:
- errands and about town (donuts for tonight, garden, grocery, Level Up arcade)
- happy hour beers with friends of Courtney, who live in Corvallis
- back to the house to prep for the bash
- a sort of housewarming bash, with those friends, plus another couple. Pretty fun and good food!
