easy AM campus + weights

June 7, 2018 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: high 50s, nice

Comments:
Sleep: OK, but not enough.
Gut: some AM malaise
Energy: pretty low all day

Woke up early with Callie, who works out on Thursday AMs with my coaching client, Alexis. I still don't have the energy for it, but I wanted to start the day with a run, so I went solo.

Drove to work, and ran the new routine route: 13th to Campus, past Hayward. Folks were already starting to mill around for the women's day one of NCAAs.

Felt remarkably...OK, but I was apprehensive about immediately going to lift weights. I did, and that went OK, too.

Rest of the day:
* two clients in the AM
* brunch with CA at Sundial at 11:30. An impromptu "retirement party"?

There's been more goddamn uncertainly about cross country. Beth TOLD ME she was going to be done, last fall. But of course...total opacity. Tick-tock, tick-tock -- both from administration and from her. I even went as far as to text her on Friday to ask. NO response.

Today, one of the kids' parents sends a screenshot of the school announcments: "Head Coach Beth Sprague invites you to a cc meeting next week...".

Fucking hell.

My immediate response is, we just need to be done. ALL the problems we've had this year is because of the shitty culture emanating from her shitty program. And I can't keep fighting that, nor do I have to the time wait around 'til she truly gets sick of it.

*went home after breakfast for a fitfil nap. It was OK
* three more PM patients
* we went straight from work to Hayward for the NCAA meet.

It was fun to be there, once last time. Women only tonight, which was cool. I even got to meet CA's old (and current) UF head track coach. Cool guy.

Did eat or get to bed 'til way late, getting ready for Kentucky.

R ankle: PISSY in the afternoon. Bummer. It was doing really well...
